About Aloe
Why use Aloe vera?
Aloe vera is a rich source of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids and has been renowned for thousands of years across many cultures for its overall health benefits.
The word ‘Aloe’ comes from the Arabic Alloeh while Vera comes from the Italian word meaning ‘True’, coining this particular species as the true aloe for its array of health benefits. Aloe Vera plants have been found carved on Egyptian walls dating 4000BC.
Aloe vera has been applied to the skin since ancient times as a healing aid for minor cuts, burns and abrasions. More recently, aloe vera juice has become increasingly well known for its benefits as a general tonic, promoting greater health and vitality.
